Proofreading

Even the best writers and translators make mistakes. The reason for this is not that the writers are in any way incompetent, but that human beings develop a bit of a blind spot after reading the same text many times.

That's why it's always a good idea to have your documents proofread. If the text is in English, you need the services of a native English speaker.

I will check your English documents for:

• grammar,
• spelling (whether British or American English),
• idiom,
• faithfulness to the original (in the case of a translation),
• clarity and accuracy

Texts will usually be accepted in common word processing formats (Word, Open Office, PDF). On request, texts can also be proofread by hand using either German (DIN 16511) or British proofreaders' marks.
