Anglo English School

For their website, the Anglo English School in Hamburg needed a more aesthetic design and an improved navigation system. Some of the client's special requests did present a technical challenge, but it was possible with a few "tricks" to accommodate them all, an enjoyable task.

In addition my partner added a content management system to facilitate site maintenance.

This is my personal website, which I designed in the days when I was still regularly appearing on stage as a stand-up comic. This meant it had to be not too serious, but rather a little playful.

This didn't exclude a logical and intuitive navigation system. And by careful use of backgrounds it was possible to keep file sizes down, and external stylesheets and JavaScripts reduce download times. Thanks to PHP, the site can easily be extended.

Oak Audio Visual

Oak AudioVisual is a small British company which offers video projectors for rent and for sale.

The website was a challenge: it had to look like the company's advertising brochures. I developed a concept which fulfilled this requirement while also fulfilling the requirements of the World Wide Web.

Berlin International Methodist Church

The International Congregation of the United Methodist Church in Berlin wanted a friendly look for their website. In addition, a lot of information had to be accommodated, even though the space available on their server was at the time very limited: times and dates, location, newsletter articles and much more.

The simple and clear navigation makes it easy to find the page you are looking for. The site also uses far fewer graphics than you might suppose at first sight.

The Berlin bear is a cheerful addition to the site without seeming flippant or out of place.
